I have been going here for the last year & a half, their food is always delicious!! Servers always friendly. Food is brought out in a timely fashion. And the prices CAN’T be beat!
What a wonderful blast from the past. This place reminded me of the small town cafe my dad would go to meet his buddies for coffee and breakfast. It is very local, you open the door and everyone looks to see who’s coming in, not to judge but to see which friend is arriving. Not filled with screen zombies, rather people talking about life and razzing each other. Might not be the atmosphere for everyone but it is for me. I’m lucky to live a few blocks away! The food, I had a 1/2 order of the garbage plate and a side of chicken fried steak. Wow, the chicken fried steak with their made from scratch gravy was unbelievably tasty and crunchy. So good. The garbage plate is biscuits with American fries and gravy on top and an egg crowning it. Again very tasty, the gravy is very good, thick and seasoned perfectly, egg cooked as requested and American fries lightly browned. Very satisfying breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive. I felt very welcomed for my first visit. Happy I finally stopped at this gem of a cafe, don’t be put off by the reviews about feeling outcast if not local, I experienced none of that. This will be one of my go to breakfast places while I’m living here. Come on in and enjoy!

Cute little Cafe, very nice staff and clearly a local favorite. The local charm is on display inside. The food was very good and the bacon, can we talk about crispy bacon? It was incredibly good. Do yourself a favor, visit this charming multi generation small town cafe.
As a world traveler today I found a diamond in the ruff. Michelle and staff truly know how to treat someone. The cook was short but mighty in the kitchen. She made the 10 eggs exactly how I asked. No butter bonded oils and nothing broke. If you’re ever in Watervliet you have gotta try this cafe. To the staff and customers thanks for making my day. I’ll definitely be back.
A buddy and I were traveling from Detroit to Chicago and needed breakfast early in the morning. By chance, we found this place from Google Maps. This turned out to be a great find. The omelets were great, serving size generous and price was right. Our server was friendly and efficient! The restaurant itself was neat in a quaint downtown. Well worth the stop.
Cute little cafe,.feels like you are at your grandma's house. Locals are nice. Had an egg sandwich on a croissant and home style potatoes.
